It's a bit small, but the second guy in the first panel is now holding a snake where his gun used to be.

The wand burning out is something we haven't introduced before. But that was an awful lot of firepower it had to absorb there. Most wizards would be unable to maintain the shield before this would happen, but Hermione is a very powerful witch.
