So, we've had some questions regarding where Sheriff Ned got magic bullets... apparently I relied far too much on inference!
The magic bullets in question were an idea (and subsequent offscreen enchanting) from Arthur Weasley in Episode 65.
The offscreen enchanting was meant to make the following effectiveness of the bullet a bit more mysterious when Ned fired one in Episode 68, which finished off the monster. The blue glow on the tracer and the glowing "CHOOM" were meant to indicate the bullet was not normal. However, the
dialog never actually said it! Hence, Bart's question in in the last ep (75), which I thought would settle any remaining question. Since it didn't, I hope this explanation does.
